How do I make the .dream files work in windows 7 ultimate?

I get the following error if I try and use one:

The desktop window manager is not running, Deskscape requires the Desktop Window Manager (uxsms) service to be running to function.

How do I start this service?

Thanks,

Tek

Are you running the updated version of Deskscapes3 ? If not try update it through Impulse and all dreams should run fine

In impulse, under history, it only lists up to 2.50. I don't see an option to update it to version 3. I am very new to Impulse, I am used to using Stardock Central.

If you are a current Object Desktop subscriber, you are able to run the pre-release versions of the software. To do this you need to turn on "show pre release versions" under preferences in Impulse by clicking on the blue button in the upper left corner of the program. Once you do this it should show in your updates tab.

It will show as DeskScapes version 2.92 beta in the file descriptions, not DeskScapes 3.

If you have a problem updating it try clicking on the "install all updates" button under the help icon.

This is what you will get when running version 2.5 on Windows 7.  The only fix will be to update to version 3.
